Open Positions

Draftsperson I

(0-3 years’ experience) Non-licensed architectural staff.

Wessling Architects is currently seeking applicants with an associate’s degree or technical training certificate in architectural drafting or related field to fill a full-time entry-level Draftsperson I position.

Duties: The successful candidate will undertake a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects, or for selected segments of larger projects. Project types will include new buildings, interior design, historic restoration, and building envelope analysis and forensics. Typical responsibilities in addition to drafting will include researching, compiling, and recording information for the assigned project, and assisting in the survey and analysis of building envelope existing conditions and issues. They will be responsible for developing detailed drawings under the supervision of a Project Manager. Participate in the development of design solutions for a variety of clients such as commercial, industrial, educational institutions, public entities, non-profit organizations, and other members of the building profession.

Note: Wessling Architects typically has little to no single-family residential clientele.

Qualifications:

·         Associate’s degree or technical training certificate in architectural drafting or related field.

·         Proficient in AutoCAD.

·         Demonstrated Drafting Ability.

Hours Per Week and Salary: 40 hours/week. This is a salaried position - $21 - $23/hour.
